I am new to all of this can you recommend the best adaptor for the 2022 Ioniq 5? I’ve only had the car a week and drove from CT to PA with no problem but I say many more Tesla chargers than anything else. Does it really take that many hours to charge a non Tesla car on a Tesla charger?

Absolutely right. Only Tesla Level-2 to J1772 adapters are commercially available. We know that there are prototypes of Supercharger-to-CCS adapters, but they are not yet on the market.
Sorry to be dim about this but another article I read said that Tesla chargers need to validate that the car is a Tesla before it will charge, if that is so it won’t accept my LEAF even with an adapter.
If you are looking for an adapter for Tesla Destination, there is a setting (called a DIP switcher) on this equipment that turns Legacy mode on or off with non-Tesla cars. From our own experience, 2/3 of the Tesla Destination is compatible thanks to the adapter with the Nisan Leaf, Chevy Bolt, VW id.4 and other non-Tesla cars.
