This extension was purchased after I realized my old extension was too hot. You need to charge your electric car with a socket that has a voltage of 220V. If you live at home and only drive every other day, then 120V is sufficient. It is ideal and does not heat. It fits perfectly with sockets and forks, and there is no backlash or saving. This cord is strong but flexible. It’s not too difficult to use. It was a great purchase overall.
