Some US utilities have ‘time-of-use’ electricity rates. If so, the price of electricity may vary according to when Webasto charger is used. It can be expensive if you charge an electric car during peak hours, when electricity is most expensive.

There are three factors that affect the cost of charging your electric car with Webasto: 1) The tariff system for electricity, 2) the type of charger you use, 3) how often you charge.

If your home is located in a region with time-of-use rates, consider charge the car only at “off peak” rate.

Your tariff system will affect how much you pay for electricity, but will NOT affect the cost of charging your electric car.

You can control ‘time-of-use rates’ and the type of Webasto charger you use.  You can choose a low rate tariff for electricity, you can choose an ‘off-peak’ charging time, and you can choose an off-peak charger.
